EMILIA-ROMAGNA, ITALY
SEPTEMBER 29 - OCTOBER 7, 2024
Join us on an unforgettable trip to Emilia-Romagna, the food capital of Italy (and maybe the world!)
Our home base for the trip will be “Collina dei Poeti” (“Hills of the Poets), a converted farm in Santarcangelo di Romagna . Santarcangelo is a charming midieval town near the Adriatic Sea , famous for poets, artists, and even a former pope.
We will learn to cook with local “nonne”, and indulge in local and regional delicacies. And we will live like locals as we attend centuries’ old markets and festivals in the region.
Italy tells its stories through its fine crafts and its art. We will learn leather making skills at local artist's workshop, and the ancient art of mosaics from a renowned “artigiana.”
We will visit towns that are under-the-radar, but no less fascinating and beautiful - such as Ravenna, Cesenatico, and Bologna.
We will learn about organic wine and cheese making at their picturesque vineyards and farms.
Most importantly, we will immerse ourselves in this beautiful, local culture and indulge all of our senses - and we will make memories that last a lifetime.
